JAYLON TALTON OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a junior quarterback from Arlington, Texas, has been named the SCAC Football Offensive Player of the Week for games played Saturday, October 4th. SCAC Football Release (Week 5)
Talton had a huge game in the 'Roos dominating win over Centenary, completing 22-of-30 pass attempts for 303 yards with three touchdowns while adding 59 rushing yards and another score in a 41-15 victory. Talton did most of his damage in the first three quarters as Austin College built a big lead, and helped the team run out the clock in the fourth to secure the win.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior quarterback/linebacker Vance Feuerbacher of Centenary finished 29-of-50 for 258 yards and tossed one touchdown on Saturday night in the Gents' 41-15 loss at Austin College. Feuerbacher also carried the ball eight times for 22 yards with one touchdown and a long rush of 18 yards.
