DJ MILLER OF UNIVERSITY OF THE OZARKS (ARK.), a junior guard from Minneapolis, Minn., has been named the SCAC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, November 24 through Sunday, November 30. SCAC Men's Basketball Release (Week 4)
Miller pulled down nine defensive rebounds and hit what proved to be the game-winning basket in the fourth quarter. Miller's efficient all-around game included 14 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and one steal.

Senior Russell MacFarlane of Colorado College led the Tigers' defensively against No. 5 WashU and No. 8 UChicago. The Seattle native had two blocks in each game and finished the weekend averaging three rebounds, 0.5 steals and two blocks per game. Junior Anariss Brandon of Concordia (Tex.) averaged 2.5 steals to help the Tornados move to 4-0 on the season. In a 117-107 win over Arlington Baptist, Brandon posted a game-high four steals, then recorded another steal and altered many shots on the backline for CTX in a 100-89 triumph over ETBU. Senior Angel Johnson of St. Thomas (Tex.) was a force on both ends this week, headlining the Celts' defense with nine steals, 10 rebounds, and two blocks across two games. Johnson also anchored the offense with 16 assists against just five turnovers, posting an impressive 3.2 assist-to-turnover ratio while averaging 9.0 points over a pair of wins. Senior Isaac Orozco of Texas Lutheran tied his career high with six steals against Howard Payne on Sunday for the Bulldogs. Orozco also added 11 points and three rebounds, all defensive, with six assists as well.
