JESSIE WRIGHT OF UNIVERSITY OF THE OZARKS (ARK.), a senior from Decatur, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Co-Swimmer of the Week for performances during the meets conducted Saturday, January 24 through Saturday, January 31. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 12)
Wright won three out of her four races at the Ozarks (Ark.) Senior dual vs Hendrix. She anchored the 200 medley relay in 26.09 for the win while also taking first in the 500 freestyle in 5:48.66 and in the 200 I.M. in 2:24.17. She placed second in the 200 freestyle in 2:05.35 and helped the Eagles achieve the overall win. This marks her third weekly award of the season.
Wright shares Co-Swimmer of the week with CeCe Werth of Hendrix.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
First-year Addie Huebert of Asbury had a great final dual meet of the season. In competition against Centre, Huebert split a 32.26 on the breaststroke leg of one of the 200 medley relays. Individually, Huebert finished second in the 100 breaststroke with her second fastest time of the season, swimming a 1:12.19. First-year CeCe Werth of Hendrix came close to season-bests in both the 200 free (2:02.33) and the 100 free (57.22) at the Ozarks Tri-Meet, winning both events.
