Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Grayson Shugart of Centenary shined for the Ladies in their season-opening meet, the LeTourneau University Invitational, on Friday as she won the 400 meter run in a school-record time of 1:04.63 and also won the triple jump (9.90m). Sophomore Hannah Falk of Colorado College finished third in the 3,000-steeplechase at the CenTex Invitational in Georgetown, Texas, with a personal-best time of 12:08.00, the top time in the league this spring. Junior Kendra Humphries of McMurry delivered an outstanding multi-event performance. Competing in the javelin, hammer, shotput, and discus, she smashed her personal best in the shot put with a huge 13.78m throw which currently ranks second in the nation. Humphries also set a new personal best in the hammer at 44.80m, ranking sixth in the country, and unleashed a massive javelin PR of 43.06m, ranking second nationally in the event. Senior Sage Bartlett of Texas Lutheran finished second in the 100-meter hurdles with her time of 16.99. She also ran on the 4 x 1 team that finished second with both of these events contested at the Central Texas Invite.
