BRIANNA DEVLIN OF UNIVERSITY OF THE OZARKS (ARK.), a junior from Topeka, Kan., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Diver of the Week for performances during the meets Sunday, November 23. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 7)
Devlin won both 1 meter and 3 meter boards at the Hendrix College Mid-Season Invitational. Her 11 dive 1 meter prelims was a Regional qualifier with a 443.25, and her 6 dive final was also a Regional qualifier with a 289.75. Her 11 dive 3 meter prelims was a new school record by 50 points with a 400.65. Devlin's 6 dive 3 meter final was also a new school record by 41 points with a 244.40.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Keller Pooley of Colorado College had a stellar performance this weekend at the Centre Speedo Invitational, placing first on 3m with a new season best and NCAA regional qualifying score of 412.50, narrowly missing the meet record by three points. On the second day, she took the top spot on the 1m setting a new meet record, NCAA Regional qualifying score and season best 397.45. First-year Emj Hubbard of Hendrix delivered the best diving performance Hendrix has seen in decades. She nearly qualified her 11-dive list for Regionals and posted a huge personal-best score of 389.85, closing in on the school record of 413.05 from 2006. She also smashed her 3-meter PR with a 450.70, marking one of the strongest all-around diving meets in the program in decades.
