LEXINGTON, Ky. - Junior right side hitter Aria Dudley of Colorado College was named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week for matches played the week ending October 22.
Dudley led No. 2 Colorado College to a 4-0 record at last week's cross-divisional matches at Centenary College.
Dudley, the reigning SCAC Defensive Player of the Week, hit a match-high .394 with 15 kills on 33 attacks with only two errors in the win over No. 3 Southwestern. In the Tigers' sweep against Trinity, Dudley had six kills, hit .385 and had four block assists. In the win over TLU, Dudley led the Tigers with a .588 attack percentage and had 10 kill with no errors on 17 swings. She finished the weekend with a match-high 13 kills while hitting .500 on 22 attempts in the 25-16, 25-12, 25-17 thumping of Schreiner.
"Aria has been a steady force for us on the right side all year," head coach Rick Swan said. "She's been our go-to player when we need a kill in a big moment and one of our most consistent hitters at all times."
Colorado locked down the SCAC regular season champions title this season after an unblemished regular-season record in the league play for the second time in program history.
Dudley is the second SCAC student-athlete to earn AVCA Player of the Week recognition this season, her teammate Lizzy Counts was recognized for the same honor on October 3rd. It is the 12th overall AVCA POTW award for a SCAC student-athlete.
