LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Three of the league's five women's golf teams hit the links for their fall debuts earlier this week.
All three participated in the TLU Lady Bulldog Classic, which concluded at Max Starcke Park Municipal Golf Course after a final 18 holes Tuesday.
The 23rd-ranked Trinity women's golf team shot a final-round 314 Tuesday and finished as runner-up as the Tigers posted a two-round 630 total.
Emilee Strausburg carded a 4-over-par 75 and finished in fourth place with a 10-over 154. She was recognized as a member of the All-Tournament Team for her performance.
Schreiner finished fourth with a two-day total of 653. The Mountaineers were paced by Alyssa Holbrook, who shot rounds of 81 and 79 to finish with a 160 (+16) and in 14th place.
Rounding out the SCAC participants, host Texas Lutheran produced a seventh-place overall finish. TLU shot a 340 on Tuesday after firing a 339 team score on Monday.
Sophomore Summer Swift led TLU with an overall finish of 25th. Swift carded an 83 on Monday and an 84 on Tuesday.
Mary Hardin-Baylor won the tournament with a team score of 606, 24 shots in front of Trinity.
