LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - With the final Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer games in the books, the tournament field is set for next weekend.
Trinity University (18-0, 12-0 SCAC) completed another undefeated regular season in the league, extending their current conference winning streak to 84 games, dating back to 2008.
The Tigers earned the top spot in the SCAC tournament once again, and will play their first contest on Saturday morning.
Southwestern University (10-7, 8-4 SCAC) fell to Texas Lutheran University (8-4-4, 6-3-3 SCAC), but the Pirates had already clinched the second seed for the tournament. The Bulldogs will enter as the third seed after that victory.
Schreiner University (8-7-3, 6-5-1 SCAC) comes into the event as the fourth seed, and will be hosting the tournament. Centenary College earned their first trip to the SCAC tournament since 2013 after finishing 7-10 overall and 4-8 in league action.
With the University of Dallas (4-13-2, 1-9-2 SCAC) falling to Trinity Sunday, Austin College (3-12-2, 1-9-2 SCAC) took the final spot in the field. The 'Roos were 1-0-1 against the Crusaders, giving them the tiebreaker advantage.
