Griffin was 2-0 in singles over the week with wins against Hardin-Simmons and McMurry at No. 2. Griffin won by the same score - 6-4, 6-3 - in each providing the lone win for the Mountaineers against HSU and defeating McMurry's Madilyn Gonzales.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
First-year Anaiah Smith of LeTourneau took a win at No. 4 singles and collected a victory at No. 2 doubles in a YellowJacket loss to ETBU. She defeated Kristyn Dunn in three sets, 2-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-0) at the No. 4 flight. Smith teamed with Maddie Nichol for a 6-4 win over ETBU's Dunn and Jazmyne Ford-Schartner.
