LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Sophomore guard Kelsie Jackson of Schreiner University and junior guard Hannah Coley of Trinity University have been named SCAC Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week for their outstanding efforts this past weekend.

KELSIE JACKSON OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a sophomore forward from Corpus Christi, Texas, and HANNAH COLEY OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior from Austin, Texas, have been selected as the SCAC Women's Basketball Co-Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, January 27th through Sunday, February 2nd.
Jackson led Schreiner to a pair of SCAC wins over the weekend over Austin College and Centenary.
Jackson averaged 23.5 points/game and 8.5 rebounds/game to lead the team in both wins, hitting 50% from behind the arch and getting to the free throw line 19 times over the weekend.
Against Austin College, Jackson led the team with 29 points on 11-18 shooting, hitting 5-8 threes, and pulling down six boards. Jackson followed that up with 18 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double in a win over Centenary.
Coley led Trinity to a pair of SCAC wins over the weekend, finishing off the team's regular season home schedule by beating Dallas and Colorado College.
Coley averaged 18.5 points/game and 5.5 assists/game to lead the team in both wins, hitting just over 65% of her shots and close to 55% three-point field goals. She converted 15-23 (65.2%) from the field and 6-11 (54.5%) from distance. Coley also tied for the team lead with five steals over the weekend, and committed just one turnover.
Against Dallas, Coley led the team with 24 points on 9-12 shooting, hitting 5-7 threes, and handing out six assists. With that performance, she became the 14th player in school history to score 1,000 points in a career. Coley followed that up with 13 points, five assists, and four steals in just 21 minutes against Colorado the next night.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior guard/forward Erin Riley of Austin College averaged 14.0 points and 6.0 rebounds and knocked down four three pointers in two games last week, including scoring 16 against TLU on Saturday. Sophomore forward Danielle Davis of Colorado College averaged 20.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game during Colorado College's two games last week. Senior post Christy Allen of Dallas averaged 13.0 points/game and 11.5 rebounds including a pair of double-doubles against Southwestern and Trinity. Senior guard/forward Chelsea Leeder of Southwestern averaged a double-double this week with 15.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game, leading the Pirates in both categories. Junior guard Karisa Cantu of Texas Lutheran scored 15 points in each of TLU's two SCAC wins over the weekend. Centenary did not nominate anyone.
