LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Southwestern University junior forward Annie Bourne has been selected as SCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season for her efforts this past weekend.

ANNIE BOURNE OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a junior forward from Dallas, Texas., has been selected the SCAC Women's Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, December 9th through Sunday, December 15th.
Bourne led the Pirates this past weekend as they gave nationally ranked Rhodes all they could handle, ultimately falling short, 64-56
Bourne scored 17 points, shooting 8-of-13 from the field and 1-for-2 from the free throw line in 30 minutes of play to lead Southwestern.
She added a team high eight rebounds, one assist, and one steal, outscoring the Lynx 32-28 in the second half.
Bourne earns Player of the Week for the second time this year, earning the award two weeks ago in another excellent effort
She is currently seventh in the conference in scoring at 13.2 points per game and third in shooting percentage at 55.6%. Bourne leads the SCAC in rebounds at 10.8 per game.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior guard Christina Kime of Ausitn College scored 14 points, grabbed five rebounds, handed out three assists and came up with a steal in a loss to Rhodes in the team's only game of the week. Centenary, Colorado College, Schreiner, Texas Lutheran, and Trintiy were idle this past week. Dallas did not nominate anyone.
