Duncan, a junior from San Antonio, Texas, and Perkins, a first-year from Austin, Texas, went 3-0 last week at No. 3 doubles, defeating their counterparts at East Texas Baptist (6-0), Hardin-Simmons (6-0), and McMurry (6-3), helping the Pirates pick up another conference win in the latter contest.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Isabella Cepeda and graduate student Kayla Pena of Concordia University (Texas) went 2-0 in doubles play last weekend as the duo blanked Daniella Rodriquez and Mackenzie Griffin of Schreiner with a 6-0 victory and then earned a 6-2 victory over Laurel Coleman and Jonnah Smith of Hardin-Simmons.
