WACO, Texas - The second-seeded Colorado College Tigers opened play at the Southern College Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Championship with a 4-0 quarterfinal round victory over the seventh-seeded Austin College Kangaroos Friday. Official Website l Postmatch Interview | Photo Album
Second doubles saw the Tigers' Kala Komanduri/Amelia Karr earn a 6-0 win before teammates Ally Lowe/Avery Hickman also recorded a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles.
Komanduri continued her winning ways as she recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles. Following her win was teammate Aspen Young who tallied a 6-0, 6-0 win as well. Clinching the match was Hickman's win at No. 4 singles. Hickman recorded a 6-1, 6-0 victory.
The Tigers improve to 11-7 on the season. Meanwhile, the Kangaroos finish the season with a 6-9 mark.
