LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Southwestern picked up a couple of wins over the final regular season weekend, including an 18-7 conference victory at Dallas.
In Sunday's SCAC victory at Dallas, Deanna Hames led the way for the Pirates with six goals and three assists against the Crusaders while Raquel Kurth added three goals and a pair of assists. Skye George, who is usually on defense protecting the cage, scored her first career goal.
Earlier in the week, Southwestern defeated Hendrix College, 26-8, where junior attacker Raven Garcia set a new program single-game scoring record, posting 15 points with 10 goals and five assists. The 15 points are also tied for third-most by a Division III player in a game this season.
In the only other match of the weekend, Dallas dropped a 16-12 decision to Hendrix on Saturday. The Crusaders' Emily Pauletti paced the Dallas attack with a personal-most seven goals in the contest.
The University of Dallas plays host to the rest of the conference for the 2021 SCAC Women's Lacrosse Championships, which begins Saturday, May 1 and runs through Sunday, May 2. Click here for the official website of this year's championship meet.
