LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Just one game was on the schedule this past week as Colorado College dropped a 17-7 decision to UC- Colorado Springs on Wednesday.
The CC women stayed within striking distance for the first 22 minutes, but a pair of five-goal runs propelled CU-Colorado Springs to a 17-7 victory on Wednesday afternoon at Washburn Field.
Bridget Hanley factored in Colorado College's first four scores and led the team with four points on two goals and a pair of assists two assists. CC's Bella Beattie struck for a pair of goals during the final 11:46. She added three ground balls and a caused turnover. Natalie Slade made eight saves in the first half, while Avery Newton stopped eight shots during the final 30 minutes in her first career appearance in goal.
