LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Just one game was on the schedule this past week as Southwestern dropped a 14-10 decision at Wisconsin-River Falls on Saturday.
Southwestern scored four of the game's last five goals but 30 turnovers, including sixteen in the second half, proved to be more than the Pirates could overcome in dropping to 3-2 on the season. Raven Garcia led the Pirates with a game-high four goals, followed by Deanna Hames, who scored three goals and four ground balls. Emma Pertuit won six draw controls and Raquel Kurth scored two goals for the Pirates. Southwestern goalie Tessa Lewis had eight saves and Sofia Valdespino stopped five goals.
