LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The Colorado College women picked up a pair of home conference wins, defeating Southwestern, 18-3, on Saturday and Dallas, 22-0, on Sunday.
CC's Bella Beattie continued her offensive domination against Southwestern, leading the Colorado College women's team to an 18-3 victory over the Pirates on Saturday. Beattie, who tied the program record of eight goals in a 23-10 victory at Southwestern last weekend, scored five goals and added four assists as the Tigers remained undefeated in the SCAC. Courtney Zell and Bella Scola each had four goals on four shots and Bridget Hanley added four assists. Raven Garcia led the Pirates with a goal and an assist.
The following day, Hanley set the program record with 11 points and matched the standard of eight assists to lead the Colorado College women to a 22-0 victory over the University of Dallas. Hanley scored two of her three goals during the first eight minutes as the Tigers bolted to a 6-0 lead, then set up eight of 12 goals in a run that began with 19:17 remaining in the first half and ended 12:33 remaining in the game. Thanks to the suffocating defensive effort, goaltender Natalie Slade lowered her season goals-against average to 7.68. Slade steered aside the only shot that UD put on target.
