LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- A light week of action in the SCAC saw Southwestern pick up the lone victory among conference teams.
The Southwestern University women's improved to 3-1 with a 13-9 victory at Augustana College Sunday afternoon. Natasha Perez-Krause paced the Pirates with four goals, one groundball and one draw control. Liana Collins scored three goals while Deanna Hames and Emma Pertuit scored two goals each. Goalie Sofia Valdespino stopped eight Viking shots and picked up six groundballs.
The University of Dallas women's lacrosse team concluded the month of March with a 23-1 setback at Ottawa University in the team's first away match. A 15-0 halftime deficit was too much for the young Crusaders to overcome. Gabby Dixon had UD's lone goal, the first of her career.
