LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Only three SCAC teams were in action this past week, highlighted by a lone conference matchup as Schreiner traveled to Southwestern on Thursday.
The Southwestern men made a few early adjustments to sail to a 9-0 victory over Schreiner in the second meeting between the two SCAC teams. After the Pirates swept doubles play, Alexander Joseph finished the first singles match from the No. 3 spot, beating Austin Cervantes 6-1, 6-0, and Steven Tibbetts clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Mario Gallinar.
The only other conference team in action was Colorado College, who dropped a 6-1 decision to NCAA Division II Metro State on Saturday. CC freshman August Knox posted the first victory of his collegiate career, taking the 6-3, 6-4 decision at No. 6 singles.
