LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Six SCAC men's teams were in action this past week, highlighted by a lone conference match as Southwestern traveled to Austin College.

Southwestern (9-0; 5-0 SCAC) posted a 3-0 week, including an 8-1 conference victory at Austin College (3-5; 1-2 SCAC) on Saturday. The Pirates swept doubles, with Drew Shuvalov and Carlos Esteban Rodero scoring a nailbiter 8-7 victory over Preston Spivey and Brett O'Brien at the No. 1 line. The 'Roos picked up their only point of the match at No. 1 singles as Brett O'Brien defeated Vesko Lekovic 3-6, 7-5, 10-7, but Southwestern won the remaining matches in straight sets - including 6-0, 6-0 victories from Alexander Joseph at No. 3 and Steven Tibbetts at No. 5. 

Trinity (7-6; 1-0 SCAC) scored its second 4-3 decision over a NCAA I opponent, defeating University of the Incarnate Word Saturday evening. Seniors Wilson Hamilton and Jordan Pitts collected the Tigers' third and fourth team points to mount the comeback over the visiting Cardinals. After taking the doubles point, Trinity fell behind 3-2 before Hamilton and Pitts put together back-to-back wins at the No. 3 and 4 lines to secure the win.

In other action, Schreiner (4-8; 0-1 SCAC) split non-conference matches over the week as the Mountaineers defeated University of the Ozarks, 5-3, on Wednesday before falling 7-2 to Our Lady of the Lake on Saturday. The No. 1 doubles team of Carson Kirk and Dennis Miller went 2-0 on the week and Kirk was a perfect 2-0 at No. 2 singles.

Texas Lutheran (1-7; 0-4 SCAC) picked up its first victory of the 2021 campaign, defeating Sul Ross State, 6-3, on Friday. Matthew Stephenson and Ryan Schulte led the way for the Bulldogs, earning an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles and collecting wins in singles action as well. Stephenson earned a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles, and Schulte rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles.
