LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference outdoor track & field teams were back in action last week, as Austin, Schreiner, and Texas Lutheran traveled to compete in the Hardin-Simmons Invitational. 

Texas Lutheran men finished fourth in the Hardin-Simmons invite. Dillan Wendel took fifth in the men’s 800 with a time of 1:59.69. Arrion Knight placed fourth in the men’s 110 hurdles finishing in a time of 16.10. The Bulldogs claimed first, second, and third place in the men’s shot put, with Zachary Herman leading the way with a toss of 48-03.25. Scottie Reyes finished second with a 46-6.75 mark and Weston Geiger finished in the third-place spot with a toss of 43-4.25. First-year Michael White finished second in the high jump with a clearance of 6-02.75.    

Austin College’s Johnny Biffar led the ‘Roos in the 1500-meter run, finishing fifth with a time of 4:12.34. Chris Biffar placed 14th in the run with a time of 4:22.74, followed by Christan Tomy finishing close behind in 16th and Gabe Graf finishing in 18th. Johnny Biffar took 10th in the 800 on the men’s side, coming in at 2:06.05, Graf was 15th with a time of 2:09.12. 

Schreiner’s Xavier Enriquez led the way for the Mountaineers in the Hardin-Simmons invite, finishing 11th in the 800 meter run, with a time of 2:06.23, adding a seventh place finish in the long jump. Matthew Wilding finished 27th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.01. Wilding placed 37th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.12. 

The second week of SCAC Track & Field continues seeing five teams on the schedule as Trinity hosts Schreiner, Southwestern, St. Thomas, and Texas Lutheran for the Trinity Invitational.
