LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Only three Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women’s tennis teams were in action last week with Schreiner traveling to Southwestern for the only conference match of the week.
All three Southwestern doubles teams posted 8-0 victories as the Pirates cruised to the 9-0 victory over the visiting Mountaineers on Thursday. In singles play, Esther Bowers at No. 2, Mariana Quetzeri at No. 5 and Chandler Vrba all posted 6-0, 6-0 victories.
In the only other match involving a SCAC team, Colorado College dropped a 7-0 decision on Saturday to NCAA DII Metro State. CC's Keelie Bennett dropped a tough 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 decision at No. 2 singles.
