Ruder Steps Down As Southwestern's Head Women's Basketball Coach

GEORGETOWN, Texas - After five seasons as the Southwestern University Head Women's Basketball Coach, Pam Ruder has stepped down to pursue professional opportunities outside the Southwestern University community.

"I have enjoyed my five seasons at Southwestern University," states Coach Ruder. "My passion for the game of basketball and having it played well is still very strong; however, I am ready to move on to other challenges. I wish the program all the best in the future."

The University will begin a national search for a new Head Coach immediately. Ronda Seagraves, Associate Athletic Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and former Head Women's Basketball Coach will be assisting with the transition in conjunction with Assistant Women's Basketball Coach Julie Wilke.

Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, Dr. Glada Munt, and the Southwestern University Community wish Coach Ruder all the best in her future endeavors.
