Liz Vaughan, Hendrix College, Softball (Offensive)

LIZ VAUGHAN OF HENDRIX COLLEGE, a freshman first baseman from Garland, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 6 through Sunday, April 12.

Vaughan led the Warriors to a 3-1 week after going 8-for-10 with a 1.200 slugging percentage and .833 on-base percentage. Vaughan drove in four runs, scored five times and tagged two doubles and one triple on the week. Vaughan walked twice and didn't strike out once all week. Vaughan leads Hendrix with a .412 batting average on the season, 40 hits, .649 slugging percentage an 63 total bases.

Vaughan ranks in the top 10 of the SCAC in slugging percentage, runs scored, hits, triples and total bases. Vaughan also helped the Warriors from the mound as well improving to 9-2 on the season after a pair of complete-game victories this weekend over SCAC western division foe Austin College. Vaughan scattered 17 hits, allowed seven runs (all earned), walked four and struck out three batters.
