ANNABELLE LANIK OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first-year from Houston, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 24 through Sunday, March 30. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 5
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year Jaycee Green of Southwestern took sixth place in the hammer at the Trinity Invitational with a school record breaking and season's best throw of 44.30 meters (145' 4"). Sophomore Brenna Stell of McMurry competed in the pole vault at the Trinity Invitational, and improved upon her season-best effort by vaulting 3.78 meters and finishing first at the meet. Her mark currently ranks first in the SCAC, second in the West Region, and ninth in Division III. Junior Kiki Gonzales of Concordia (Texas) had a solid day with a shot put toss of 11.77 meters to place sixth in the event. She then posted a strong throw of 28.72 meters in the discus to cap off her day at the Trinity Invitational.
