ZOE KAFFEN AND MARY KAFFEN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, have been selected as the SCAC Women’s Doubles Team of the Week for matched played from Monday, March 8 to Sunday, March 14.
The Kaffen sisters, seniors from San Juan Capistrano, Calif., went 2-0 in doubles play last weekend as they opened SCAC play with a line-one 8-1 victory over Texas Lutheran's Mary Eby and Kaitlyn Enloe, then scored a 7-6 (7-4) decision against NCAA I Air Force Saturday for the Tigers' lone victorious line against the Falcons.
The duo sits undefeated against NCAA III opponents (3-0), 4-4 overall.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Emma Kesterson and Nina Mitrofanova of Southwestern went 1-0 last week, picking up an 8-2 win over NCAA Division I Prairie View A&M's Jessica Lackey and Ruju Chauhan in the Pirates' 6-3 victory. Anamarie Gonzalez and Alejandra Lopez of St. Thomas defeated LeTourneau's Bailey Deatherage and Summer Apostalo, 8-3, at the No. 1 doubles line.
