RYAN MILNE OF
COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior guard from Phoenix,
Ariz. has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games
played Monday, January 14 through Sunday, January 20.
Milne averaged 29 points, three rebounds and
three assists per game while leading Colorado College to split in
its two road games last weekend. He made 18 of 33 (.545) field-goal
attempts, including 11 of 19 (.579) from three-point range.
During Friday’s 76-61 victory at Centenary,
Milne poured in a career-high 36 points and set a
career best with seven three-point buckets. He reached the 30-point
mark for the third time in his career and became the 23rd player in
program history to record 900 or more career points.
Milne's 36 points were the most by a Tiger since Nick Rose scored 37 during an 84-80 victory over Hendrix College on Feb. 18, 2011. Milne scored a game-high 22 points and dished out five assists during Sunday’s 72-61 loss at Austin.
