ZACH LAMBERT
OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior forward from
Frisco, Texas, has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week
for games played Monday, December 17 through Monday, December
31.
Lambert led Trinity to four wins over the holiday
break, winning twice at both the Southwestern and Trinity Classic
Tournaments.
Lambert averaged 19.5 points/game over the four victories, shooting a blistering 62.7% (32-51) from the field over the break. He also pulled down 4.5 rebounds/game and 2.3 steals/game over the last four games.
Against SUNYIT, Lambert recorded his fourth
20-point game of the season with 27 points on 11-14 shooting in
just 23 minutes of action. He has reached double figures in scoring
in each of his 9 games played this season.
For the season, Lambert leads the Tigers with 19.1 points/game, and is the only player averaging in double figures. He is also leading the team with 16 steals and is second on the team with 5.9 rebounds/game.
