Jordan Pennington, Trinity University, Baseball (Offensive)
JORDAN
PENNINGTON OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a 6-1, 195-pound
senior infielder/outfielder from Seabrook, Texas, has been named
the SCAC Offensive Baseball Player-of-the-Week for games played
Monday, March 2 through Sunday, March 8.
Pennington hit .467 on the week (7-for-15), scored
seven runs, drove in seven, hit four doubles, posted a .933
slugging percentage, and tallied a 1.533 OPS during the week. He
also extended his hitting streak, dating back to the end of the
2008 season, to 24 games. That mark is the longest by a Trinity
player sine Jason Armstrong strung together a 42-game hitting
streak in 2004.
