LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Four of the league's women's golf teams were back on the course this week, with three of the four competing at the UMHB Lady Crusader Spring Invite in Kileen, Texas.
The Trinity women finished the Lady Crusader Spring Invitational in seocnd place behind the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, shooting a combined score of 662. All five of Trinity's golfers finished in the top 10 individually, with Erin Flynn leading the way with a two-day score of 156 (74-82) that was good for third individually. She tied for second in the tournament in par 4 scoring, was third in the field with four birdies, and tied for third among all players with 18 pars among her 36 holes.
Centenary College placed fifth, shooting rounds of 413 and 404 to finish at 817 (+241). Abigail Hayes paced the Ladies, finishing in 14th place individually after rounds of 89 and 84 (+29). Dallas did not score at the event but Claire Kirby was tops among the Crusader duo who did participate, finishing in 23rd place with a final score of 187 (92-95).
The Centenary women competed in the Linda Lowery Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, finishing in fourth place with a combined team score of 760 (377-383). Hayes once again led the Ladies, finishing tied for 10th with a two-day total of 166 (82-84). Her teammate, Shannon Orlopp, was also part of that tie for 10th, after posting rounds of 84 and 82. Schreiner sent a pair of golfers to the event and Katelyn Smith brought home a top-10 finish, placing seventh with a two round total of 162 (77-85).
