LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - After a short break for the holidays, SCAC teams picked up right where they left off on the court.
Austin College went 2-0 in their games, notching their first conference win over Centenary 63-50. Meghan Lewis had 10 steals on the game- the most by an Austin College player since the school became a division 3 member in 1996. The 'Roos had 24 steals as a team which was the most the team has had since November 2000.
The Colorado College Tigers hosted the Pikes Peak Holiday Classic where the team split their two games. The Tigers earned a major 67-58 win over Oberlin College on Saturday.
Southwestern notched one in the win column for their only game during the break. The 61-58 win over McMurry University was the Pirates' fourth win on the season. Sohomore Cecily Woolfolk tallied up 24 points and eight rebounds in the game.
Schreiner put up a big fight against LeTourneau University in the SCAC/ASC Classic which sent the game into overtime. Senior Jordyn Villa scored an impressive 36 points for the Mountaineers-more than double any other player on either squad. Despite Villa's performance, the Yellow Jackets pulled away with the 70-67 win.
Texas Lutheran split their two games at the SCAC/ASC Classic. Junior transfer Cami Davis put up 13 points in the game against LeTourneau. Davis scored seven straight to give the lead to the Bulldogs with 1:07 remaining. Texas Lutheran added a few more buckets to secure the 66-61 win.
