LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Trinity University senior forward Brian Hines and Colorado College junior defender Andrew Worthington have been named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Players-of-the-Week for week four of the SCAC Soccer Season.
SCAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Games of September 16 – September 22
BRIAN HINES OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior forward from Tempe, Ariz., has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Friday, September 16 through Sunday, September 22.
Hines led the Trinity Tigers to a pair of shutout victories in conference play over the weekend, pacing an offense that posted 12 total goals in two games.
Hines finished with three goals in the two games, picking up the game-winner against Texas Lutheran on Friday night. He added a goal in each half on Sunday's win over Schreiner, and totaled nine shots for the weekend.
For the season, Hines is tied for second on the team with six points, and is tied for the team lead with three goals scored - all of which came this weekend.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior midfielder Daniel Graham of Austin College scored the game winning goal against Dallas and added an assist to give the 'Roos their second conference victory. Junior midfielder Matt Wise of Dallas took four shots, 3 shots on goal, and one penalty-kick goal to help Dallas split this weekend. Sophomore midfielder Ryan Huettel of Colorado College set up both game-winning goals during the Tigers' two victories last weekend. Freshman midfielder Andres Carreno-Mendez of Southwestern scored two goals on five shots, all on goal for first SCAC home weekend. Freshman midfielder/defender Alejandro Martinez of Texas Lutheran scored the Bulldog's only goal of the weekend. Centenary and Schreiner did not nominate anyone for the award.

ANDREW WORTHINGTON OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior defender from Hinsdale, Ill., has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Friday, September 16 through Sunday, September 22.
Worthington anchored the Colorado College defense that allowed only one shot on goal and nine total shots during a pair of shutout victories last weekend.
During Friday's 1-0 victory over Austin, the Tigers allowed just one shot on goal and six total shots. In Sunday's 3-0 win over Centenary, CC's defense surrendered only three shots, none of which were on target. The Gents became the fifth opponent which managed fewer than five shots on goal in a game against Colorado College this year.
Worthington played all 90 minutes in each game helping the Tigers to their second and third shutouts in seven games. Colorado College improved to 3-0-2 at home this season.

Junior defender James Saulnier anchored of Austin College defense that surrendered just two goals in 180 minutes posted a shutout against Centenary and made eight saves in the victory. Freshman goalkeeper P.J. Hasson of Dallas recorded 16 saves and his first career shutout for the weekend. Junior midfielder Matthew Chaltain of Southwestern was key in the backfield for the Pirates as they went 2-0 in SCAC play. Sophomore defender Tom Carwile of Trinity lead the Tigers' defense in allowing no goals in two SCAC victories and added three goals over the weekend. Centenary, Schreiner, and Texas Lutheran did not nominate anyone for the award.
