McAnany and Philbrick Named SCAC Runners of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Ryan McAnany of the University of Dallas and Abby Philbrick of Colorado College were named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Runners-of-the-Week for the third week of competition.

 

 

 

 

 

 

SCAC MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Meets through Sunday, September 14

RYAN MCANANY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a junior from Kansas City, Kan., has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets run through Sunday, September 14.

Mcanany competed in the University of Texas-Arlington Gerald Richey Invitational, finishing in 13th place among all non-Division I runners. He also improved his 5k time from the team's last competition by over a minute, setting the UD school record with his time of 16:17.

McAnany finished in 7th place in the first competition of the year, marking a time of 17:14.

The University of Dallas men's cross country team will compete in the East Texas Baptist University Invitational Saturday, September 20.

 

 

 

SCAC WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Meets through Sunday, September 14

ABBY PHILBRICK OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a sophomore from Manchester, Mass., has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week for meets run through Sunday, September 14.

Philbrick led the Colorado College cross country team at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs Rust Buster meet, finishing in 13th place in a field of 33 runners. The Tigers were the only Division III team among the field. 

Philbrick recorded a personal-best at the meet, finishing the 4K with a time of 16:33.
