DANI FREUND OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a freshman from Kennewick, Wash., has been selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Diver-of-the-Week for competition through Sunday, January 18th.
Freund helped lead a Tiger sweep in the women's diving events at Saturday's meet between Trinity and Southwestern.
Freund took the top spot on the one-meter board, as well as nabbing second to her teammate Sarah Kate Mrkonich in the three-meter event. She scored 282.20 to take the one-meter title by nearly 10 full points. In the three-meter competition, Freund was less than six points behind Mrkonich for second place.
