JORDAN MELTZER OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior guard from Burbank, Calif., has been named SCAC Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, Monday December 9 through Sunday, December 15.

Meltzer tied a career-high with 20 points last Saturday to help lift the Tigers to an SCAC opening win against Southwestern, 71-66. It marks the fifth consecutive season CC has won its SCAC opener and the current five-game winning streak they are riding after an 0-3 start is the longest such streak since the 2009-10 season. Meltzer scored seven of her team-high 20 points in the final 3:08 to secure the win. She hit seven of her 15 shots she took from the field, including 3-of-5 from three-point range. Her 20 points were more than double her season overage of 8.3 entering the game. Meltzer now ranks second on the team averaging 10.3 points per outing. She also grabbed three rebounds on the night as well.
