ABBY HROCH OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior post from Port Lavaca, Texas, has been named SCAC Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, Monday December 2 through Sunday, December 8.
Hroch led TLU to a 66-57 non-conference win over Concordia Texas by scoring 18 points and going a perfect 8-for-8 from the field. The 18 points scored marked a season-high for Hroch and was the second time this season she has hit double-figures in scoring. Hroch also grabbed six total rebounds, made one block and dished out one assist.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior forward Vanessa Diaz of Dallas help the Crusaders to their second win of the season last week, defeating Dallas Christian, 64-60, on Friday. Diaz matched a team-high and scored a season-high 15 points on 5-for-7 shooting. She also grabbed seven rebounds and swiped three steals.
