JACKSON, Miss. –
Senior infielder Jennifer McKinley of Frisco, Texas, became the all-time leader in hits in Millsaps College history over the weekend with her 174th career hit coming against Austin College.

McKinley, already the career leader in home runs, doubles and RBI, passed Christina Sharp in the fourth inning of the weekend-finale with a single.

In front of family and friends, McKinley added to her total with her 11th home run of the season in the fifth inning.

The solo blast tied McKinley with Robin Rockco for the single-season record for home runs in Millsaps softball history.

McKinley finished the four-game weekend going 8-for-13 from the plate for a .615 batting average with one home run and four RBI as the Majors clinched a spot in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference playoffs, held April 23-25, in Conway, Ark.

McKinley currently has the highest slugging percentage (.871) in the SCAC and the third highest batting average (.430) while also leading the conference in on-base percentage (.509).
