STARKVILLE, Miss. - The Southern Collegiate
Athletic Conference (SCAC) placed 10 student-athletes on the 2010
Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA)
Division III All-Region teams. DePauw University placed a
league-high four players on the All-Region teams followed by
Southwestern University, which placed two on the All-Region
teams.
The SCAC was well represented as a league. Not only did 10
student-athletes make the teams, but six of the league's 10
softball teams had at least one student-athlete selected. Austin
College (1), Birmingham-Southern College (1), Millsaps
College (1) and Rhodes College (1) joined DePauw and
Southwestern with honorees on the All-Region teams.
Two student-athletes were named First-Team All-Region including DePauw's Megan Soultz (Central Region Pitcher) and Rhodes' Sara Bowen (Atlantic Region Utility).
