Haigh has helped anchor a defensive back line that limited the opposition to five shots on goal in a pair of road shutouts for the Crusaders this week. The Crusaders maintain a hold on second place in the league standings with these wins.
Haigh also garnered two assists on a set piece in both victories. This included assisting the game-winning goal at Centenary College.
The two conference wins give the University of Dallas men's soccer team its highest total (8) since joining the league.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior defender Keenan Amer of Colorado College helped the Tigers to a 1-0-1 record last week and clinching a spot in the conference tournament. Amer also set up the game-tying goal in the 81st minute in Friday's 1-1 tie at Austin, then had a goal and an assist in the 4-3 overtime victory at Centenary on Sunday. Senior defender Guy Harris of Trinity University and the Tiger defense allowed just one goal in the two games, limiting the two opposing teams to 15 combined shots in the two victories. Harris also scored Trinity's second goal against Southwestern, giving the Tigers a much-needed cushion.
