DARREN MCAFEE OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior midfielder from Albuquerque, N.M., has been selected as the SCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 24 through Sunday, September 30.
McAfee led Trinity’s men’s soccer
team to wins over both Centenary and Austin College over the
weekend, remaining atop the SCAC standings with a 4-0-0 record.
McAfee recorded a goal and two assists in the two games, as well as controlling the Tiger offense from his attacking midfield position.
McAfee scored to make it 3-0 against Austin College on Sunday, and also had two assists for the Tigers in that game. He helped the Tigers to eight total goals for the weekend.
For the season, McAfee has scored two goals and three assists, and is tied for fourth on the team with seven total points.
