SCHWEINFURTH OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a first-year
catcher/infielder from Mustang, Okla., has been named the SCAC
Offensive Baseball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday,
February 4 through Sunday, February 10.
Schweinfurth played a large role in the start of
Centenary’s baseball season.
Schweinfurth went 4-for-7 at the plate with a .571 batting average. The four hits registered second on the team in the two contests.
The first-year posted a team leading, five RBI and three
doubles in the outings. He also scored four runs on the weekend. In
the 9-7, come from behind win over Louisiana College, Schweinfurth
went 2-for-4, with a double, at the dish with three runs scored and
three RBI.
Schweinfurth was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI and two doubles in the season opening setback to East Texas Baptist.
