KATIE GRIFFITH
OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY has been selected
the SCAC Character & Community Female
Student-Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending May 23, 2010.
Griffith, a sophomore from Spokane, Wash., is
a team captain for the Tigers' women's tennis team. She
is a member of the Trinity Student Athletic Advisory Council -
which focuses on community involvement.
Griffith is a member of the TXA Sorority on campus
which does a number of volunteer activities for the community.
On the courts, Griffith has an impressive 9-2
record in dual matches and recently received a bid to the play at
the 2010 NCAA singles tournament.
Head Coach Ryan Takao says, “She is an amazing positive
leader and is going to be a key factor in our future.”
