REESE CISNEROS OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a defensive specialist/libero on the Pirates' volleyball team, has been selected the SCAC Character & Community Female Student-Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending October 18, 2009.

Cisneros is a senior communication studies major who hails from Pearl, Texas and is currently fourth on the team in digs with 217. She was named to the 2008 SCAC All-Tournament team as a junior.

Cisneros serves as the New Member Coordinator for the Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity on campus, planning and leading all events for 50-60 participants. She is on the Leadership Committee for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Operation Achievement Mentor, SAAC member and Community Service Chair for SAAC. 

Cisneros is also a member of Student Foundation, photographer for SU Magazine and has  volunteered with the Pearland Community Center.
