NKOLIKA NWEKE OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Pearland, Texas, has been named the SCAC Track Athlete of the Week for meets through Sunday, April 1st.
Nweke ran a season best time of 12.23 in the 100 meter dash at Texas Relays last week. This time ranks seventh in the country and first in the SCAC.
She also took fifth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.73 seconds at the Trinity Tiger Invite.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Emma Kate Callahan of the University of Dallas competed in the 1500 & 800 at the Dan Veach Invitational hosted by Southern Arkansas University this weekend, placing first in the 1500 with a time of 5:12.51 and sixth in the 800.
