MARLENA HUNT
OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior from
Gonzales, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Field
Athlete-of-the-Week for meets through Sunday, February 23rd.
Hunt was the top NCAA Division III athlete in
the long jump and the triple jump at the Trinity University Open on
Saturday.
Hunt finished second in the long jump and
fourth in the triple jump. In the long jump, she posted a mark of
5.28 meters (17.32 feet) and finished second to Kearah Danville of
Angelo State. In the triple jump, Hunt recorded a jump of 10.9
meters (35.76 feet) and placed fourth behind an unattached athlete
and two Angelo State jumpers.
