LYDIA JONES OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, have been selected the SCAC Women's Swimmer-of-the-Week for all meets through Sunday, November 9th
Jones led the Trinity women this past weekend as they went into a head-to-head matchup with Division I Incarnate Word.
Jones got things going by leading off an exhibition 200 medley relay with a 28.79 backstroke split. She then clocked a 1:58.05 in the 200 freestyle, followed by a 1:01:70 in the 100 backstroke.
Finally, Jones topped off a terrific evening of racing by leading off the Tiger's 400 freestyle relay with a fast 53.87. That time was the first sub 54 flat start century sprint Lydia's ever recorded in-season.
