MICAH WEAVER OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior guard from Poth, Texas has been selected as the SCAC Player-of-the-Week for games played through November 19th, 2017.
Weaver led #7 Trinity to a 1-1 record at the season-opening Bruins Classic over the weekend, defeating Willamette and falling in a nail-biter against #22 George Fox.
She finished her best game against George Fox with 27 points, the second-most in her career at Trinity, and seven steals, as well as adding five rebounds and four steals.
Weaver earned All-Tournament honors after averaging 21.5 points/game and 5.5 steals/game for the weekend.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior forward Michelle DeCoud of the University of Dallas scored 19 points in the Crusaders' season-opener against Dallas Christian. DeCou was just one rebound shy of a double-double. Junior forward Bryce Frank of Austin College average 15 points per game, 9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2 steals per game in the 'Roos 2-1 weekend. She also hit her first career three-pointer against Hendrix. Senior guard Jordyn Villa of Schreiner University had 23 rebouns in the Mountaineer's three games this weekend.
