SYDNEY FRIDAY OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior right-hander from Sugar Land, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 13 through Sunday, February 19.

Friday had another strong outing in her only appearance for the Tigers last week, leading the team to a 10-0 win at Schreiner University.

Friday tossed a one-hit shutout to earn her fourth career shutout, striking out seven batters in the game. She allowed just a one-out single in the third inning, then gave up just base runners (on walks) the rest of the game.

For the season, Friday leads the team with an ERA of 0.54, and is 2-0 in her two starts. She has given up just one earned run in 13 innings this season, striking out 10 batters, and holding opponents to a .167 batting average.
