HALEY HUGHES OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a junior first baseman from Tomball, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 13 through Sunday, February 19.

Hughes had a monster weekend to kick off the 2012 season for the Pirates. In 12 at bats she recorded eight hits for a .667 batting average with two homeruns, five RBI's and four runs scored. Hughes had an unbelievable 1.167 slugging percentage and .667 on base percentage in the three games.
