ETHAN BONOW OF ASBURY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Crawford, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during the meets swam Friday, November 7 & Saturday, November 8. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 5)

Bonow finished the weekend with several victories and personal bests. In dual meet action against the University of the Cumberlands, he won the 200 FR, finishing with a time of 1:44.88. He also won the 50 FL in the knockout style bracket at the end of the meet, winning each round on the way to the final victory. His times were 23.09 in prelims, 22.73 in the semis, and 22.36 in the final round. In the second dual of the weekend against Lindsey Wilson University, Bonow swam a personal best 1:01.14 in the 100 BR, won the 100 FR with a 46.17, and won the 100 FL with a 51.79.

Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Kamil Murugan of Austin College had his best meet of the season so far Friday against Southwestern. He secured two event wins in the 100 back and 100 freestyle posting top-8 times in the conference in both events. He also posted a season-best time in the 50 free to secure a second place finish and was able to capture an early lead on the backstroke leg of the 400 medley relay.
